today it’s your birthday, and every year it brings back the same mix of emotions.

It reminds me that you’re no longer here.
That I’ve had to learn to live without you, and it’s still not easy. Some days are lighter, some are heavy, but I carry you with me in everything I do.
You’re still here somehow, in my memories, in the stories I tell, in the way I raise my girls, even in the photos that keep your smile alive.

I talk about you often.
About how kind and generous you were. How funny you were, with that dry sense of humor only you had.
I tell the girls how lucky I was to have a dad like you.

You were more than just my father, you were my safe space, my endless conversations, my twin soul, my confident.
We had the same passions: food, travel, connecting with people, creating beauty from simple things.
I miss all of that, every day. I miss you.

Since you left, I’ve tried to honor your memory the best I can.
By doing the things we used to love. By continuing to create. By surrounding myself with love and laughter, even when my heart aches. I try to live a life that would make you proud.

Thank you for everything you gave me, for the values you passed on, for all the love, quiet, deep, and unconditional.
I know you’re still looking out for us, somewhere.

Today is Father’s Day.
And I hesitated for a while…

Should I post a photo of my dad, the man I loved most in the world, who’s no longer here but whose presence I still feel every day?
Or a photo of my husband, the incredible father of our daughters?

The truth is, both shaped the woman I’ve become.
One taught me what unconditional love feels like.
The other shows me, every day, what it means to build a life on love.

I’m lucky.
Lucky to have met my best friend, who became the man I share my life with.
Lucky to watch our daughters grow up with a dad who is loving, caring, present, and maybe not the funniest, but trying 😉
And even when you complain (just a little, you’re French, it’s part of the charm),
you carry our family with quiet strength and so much heart.

You are their rock. Their safe place. Their biggest cheerleader.
Because of you, I know they will grow up believing they can do anything.
You’ve given them wings and the comfort of knowing you’ll always be there if they fall.

Thank you for everything you do for us.
Thank you for being exactly who you are.

Dans deux jours, je rentre dans mon mois d’anniversaire.
Depuis mes 40 ans, c’est devenu un rituel : je ralentis, je me célèbre, je prends le temps de regarder le chemin parcouru.

Je vis à cent à l’heure.
Entrepreneure passionnée, maman de deux enfants, femme neuroatypique avec un handicap invisible.
Ma vie, je l’ai choisie.
Elle est dense, intense, pleine d’imprévus… mais elle m’apprend chaque jour un peu plus à me connaître.

Et depuis quelque temps, j’ai ralenti.
Je prends le temps de m’écouter.
Je me pose les vraies questions.
Qu’est-ce que je veux vraiment ? Qu’est-ce que j’ai envie de transmettre, d’offrir, de vivre ?

C’est ce chemin intérieur qui a tout changé.
Dans ma vie.
Et dans ma façon de photographier.

Quand je vous rencontre pour une séance, ce n’est jamais “juste” une séance photo.
Je prends le temps de vous écouter, vraiment.
De comprendre qui vous êtes, ce qui vous touche, ce que vous aimez, ce que vous n’osez pas encore montrer.
Je cherche la beauté là où elle se cache parfois.
Et je la révèle doucement, sans pression, avec beaucoup de respect.

Je ne travaille pas à la chaîne.
Je ne fais pas semblant.
Je crée à partir de vous, avec vous.

Et si ce que je partage ici résonne avec ce que vous êtes,
alors peut-être qu’on est faits pour se rencontrer 💕
